About Isla
Cycling has always been a big part of Isla’s life since she started riding a bike. Having tried nearly every other sport like dancing and gymnastics, Isla started riding at 7 years old and her racing career took off from there.
Doing her first race as an Under 8 at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow she was immediately hooked. As her confidence grew Isla started to really progress and at U-14 level won the British Championships, the Scottish Omnium Championships and Scottish Scratch Champion all in the same year.
“I have really enjoyed my year racing as a first year junior, learning something new every race. The step up from youth racing was tough but moving into second year junior I’m super excited to be joining solas cycling with great racing opportunities all year and an amazing group of girls!”
